The first large-scale application of sodium battery energy storage technology

Recently, the first 10 megawatt hour sodium ion battery energy storage power station in China's new energy storage field was officially put into operation in Nanning, Guangxi. This is the first large-scale application of sodium ion battery energy storage technology in China.

It is understood that the power station has a capacity of 10 megawatt hours and is expected to generate 7.3 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 5000 tons and meeting the annual electricity needs of 3500 households.

"Under the premise of ensuring energy safety, the energy conversion efficiency of this sodium ion battery energy storage system can exceed 92%, which is higher than the commonly used lithium-ion battery energy storage systems.
