Petrochemical companies spare no effort to resist consecutive strong typhoons

Typhoon Bebinca had just left before Typhoon Prasang followed closely behind. In recent days, petrochemical enterprises in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and other places have made every effort to do a good job in flood and typhoon prevention, ensuring stable production operation, equipment and personnel safety.

Sinopec's Shanghai Ocean Oil and Gas Branch, Shanghai Petrochemical, Gaoqiao Petrochemical, Zhenhai Refining and Chemical, Yangzi Petrochemical, Shanghai Petroleum and other enterprises are fully committed to emergency duty, inspection and reinforcement, emergency rescue, relocation and resettlement work, and taking multiple measures to build a solid defense line against typhoons, floods and other disasters. They strictly implement the 24-hour on duty and leadership shift system, strengthen overall coordination and monitoring and early warning; Arrange in advance for crude oil ships to berth and unload oil, and organize the orderly evacuation of offshore operators; During the passage of the typhoon, construction and unloading operations will be suspended, personnel will be reduced from on-site operations, and emergency forces will be ensured.

In addition, they have strengthened equipment inspections and drainage channel cleaning, as well as reinforcement work for large equipment facilities, supports, shelters, etc., and implemented special inspections in key areas such as docks, water stations, and tank farms; Make good logistics scheduling to ensure sufficient oil and emergency supplies at front-line warehouses and stations, and fully guarantee the supply of energy and livelihood materials during the city's fight against typhoons; Efforts should be made to coordinate production scheduling, safety and environmental protection, and equipment operation to ensure orderly production and operation, stable energy supply, and personnel and equipment safety during typhoon passage.

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Shanghai Branch adheres to the safety red line of "putting people first and life first", adheres to the bottom line principle of "ten defenses and ten air defenses", strengthens regional joint prevention and control, and carries out typhoon prevention work in accordance with the typhoon prevention plan before the typhoon arrives. A total of 60 helicopters and 10 ships have been used to safely send 1472 employees back to land for shelter. At the same time, the company resumed normal operations as soon as the typhoon's impact ended, minimizing the impact of the typhoon on production operations.

In the face of sustained strong typhoons, China Petroleum Northeast Sales Company has strengthened oil product organization and safety control, and made every effort to ensure stable supply of oil resources in the market. As of now, the company has shipped over 400000 tons of oil products to Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other regions this month.

At the same time, China Petroleum Northeast Sales Company has increased the inspection of important areas and key parts of oil depots, checked and dredged drainage facilities and systems, and conducted further inspections of highway oil payment areas, dock areas, etc; Organize the suspension of outdoor operations at the Nanjing Sanjiangkou Oil Depot and Ningbo Oil Depot terminals, and use video surveillance systems to remotely monitor the status of the storage areas.

In addition, China Petroleum Northeast Sales Company has implemented the "one province, one policy" operation plan, linked with provincial and municipal sales companies such as Jiangsu Sales, Zhejiang Sales, and Shanghai Sales, connected with inventory and market consumption demand dynamics, proactively raised resources, and timely replenished inventory before the typhoon landed.

To fully ensure the safety production of the chemical industry zone, all member units of the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone Flood Control Headquarters and local enterprises are fully prepared to fight against typhoons and defend the "boundary" of the park. More than 320 emergency team members from various member units of the flood control headquarters in the park, as well as over 3500 employees from 39 enterprises, remained on high alert, closely monitored typhoon movements, and fully implemented flood control measures. As of now, the production and operation of enterprises in the park are normal, and there have been no incidents such as damage and repair of various chemical equipment, interruption and damage of water, electricity and gas, or casualties.
