Four departments held a symposium on the power and energy storage battery industry
On January 7th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Energy Administration jointly convened a symposium on the power and energy storage battery industry to study and deploy measures to further regulate the competitive order of the power and energy storage battery industry.
The meeting pointed out that China's power and energy storage battery industry has developed rapidly, achieving phased competitive advantages globally. At the same time, due to various factors, there is blind construction in the industry, and irrational competitive behaviors such as low-price competition have emerged, disrupting the normal market order and weakening the sustainable development capacity of the industry. These behaviors must be regulated and governed. It is necessary to strengthen market supervision, enhance price law enforcement and inspection, increase production consistency and product quality supervision and inspection, and crack down on intellectual property infringement. It is also necessary to optimize capacity management, improve capacity monitoring and graded early warning mechanisms, strengthen macroeconomic regulation, and prevent the risk of overcapacity. It is important to support industry self-discipline, leverage the role of industry associations, guide enterprises to scientifically allocate production capacity, and promote the establishment of a market order characterized by high quality and fair competition. Furthermore, it is crucial to strengthen regional collaboration, enhance central-local coordination and comprehensive measures, strengthen guidance for local enterprises, strictly control redundant construction, and promote the healthy and orderly development of the industry.
Relevant departments and bureaus from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Energy Administration, as well as responsible comrades from some local industrial and information technology departments, and leaders from key enterprises, relevant alliances, and industry associations of power batteries and energy storage batteries attended the meeting.
